Cooking: Sourdough Scallions 

Ingredient :

5 table spoons of raw sourdough starter

Any toppings you would like to use (we recommend bacon and egg or broccoli and egg)

What are they?

You can make a pretty delicious breakfast or snack with the raw starter. By cooking the raw starter the end result looks a little like a mix between a crumpet and pancake but tastes like sour dough bread.

The Method



Simply heat up some butter in a frying pan and add roughly four or five tablespoons of your starter into the pan. Leave it to cook for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side until it looks a little brown and crispy then take off the heat and serve with your fave toppings. We love it with jam, honey, bacon and egg … basically any of the usual breakfast toppings.
